Day Care Center

It was started with a desire of caring for kids, Toph (BK Coordinator) started a day care ministry. Having nothing in terms of fundings but just few dedicated people volunteered, and few kids attended, then a day care was started Last Novermber. A desire became a reality, a dream, fulfilled!

Little by little, one step after another, kids which are not currently enrolled to a formal school, learning how to read and write in a safe environment. These are kids who usually play out the street unattended of their parents now enjoying their time studying lessons from their volunteer teachers and playing with their co-students. All of the students came from a really poor family that's why this day care is really a blessing for both parents and their kids. Seeing them learning and enjoying their time being kids in a safe environment is such a huge fulfillment to the teachers. Teachers are encouraged by a word in the bible, Zechariah 4:10, Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin.

This day care is not yet registered, teachers are yet licensed and the curriculums are still in the process. But we knew this will come to fulfillment. Everything will fall in their proper places. Please do pray with us as we seek God's wisdom for this day care to be well established. We need people. One to be a curriculum developer, a Filipino licensed teacher. Day care also needs funds for the salary for people like teachers and their assistants, for students and teachers' uniform, for food budget and facilities like books, notebooks, pens and papers.

We are praising God for the fulfillment of a desire and we will continue what God has started in the lives of street kids for we know that He who started a good work will surely be faithful to complete it!

The Youth Mobilization (YM) team, opened the year with a declaration that this year 2010 will be the year for us to “be a blessing”. Joshua (YM team leader) remembered how God been faithful to us for the past years. He shared with us the story of how God fulfilled His promised to us, as a team. We saw many miracles unfolded in our eyes for the past year and we won’t stop believing what God can do thru our team and we will keep on moving forward because we know, God will do many more new miracles in our lives in our ministries. And from there God impressed to Joshua’s heart how the year 2010 will be for us as a team in God’s vineyard of missions.

Last 2008 had been the year of stretch and growth. And God fulfilled it! Ministries had been stretched out, grown in many ways. Even team members who’s handling ministries saw how God stretch their faith in dealing ministries, yes, there could be many obstacles but those are milestones on how God stretch our faith. As the 2008 closed, we saw the growth.

And last year 2009 was the “time to fly”. Right after we claimed it in our heart, we (YM Team) received an invitation for a conference which will be held in Macau. We grabbed the opportunity and listed ourselves, having nothing in our pockets to assure our registration. But we continue on holding God’s promise that 2009 will be the time for us to fly. And God didn’t fail us faith, He brought it to a reality. All of us (YM team), went to Macau and attended the conference. We enjoyed our trip and celebrated God’s faithfulness to us. Right after our trip to Macau, I went to Canada. Whoo! God is really awesome for providing all my needs to go to Canada. I saw a big miracle unfolded. God is the God of miracle and I am a witness of that.

Now, this year 2010, Joshua exhorts us to “be a blessing”. Find ways to bless others, in our small or big way. That would be our aim for this year, we would be a blessing to our partner churches, youth leaders and even for a single person. We will extend our help to everyone. As we set our goals and plans for this year, we are preparing ourselves on how we can be blessing.

Please pray with us as we continue to seek God’s ways to be a blessing. Please pray for our upcoming activities to be a venue to help partner churches and youth leaders. Pray for the success, provisions and people who can help us help others.

Hi guys, I last 2 or 3 years ago, i made a blog of what I am doing but i forget (maybe i am not interested anymore) to keep it updated. Sorry for that.

But since, I am wanting to get connected again, I am making new blog (and hope I will interest to keep it updated) here it is.
